Dental treatment in Turkey: questions to ask before you book

Use these answers to prepare a safer comparison. Your named clinical provider, personalised plan and written quotation always control your own treatment and package.

Clinical boundary

The named provider decides

Suitability, risks, alternatives and aftercare belong to the clinic and clinician identified in your written plan.

Commercial boundary

The written quote controls

Treatment, hotel, transfer, flight, payment and cancellation terms apply only where the final quotation states them.

Privacy boundary

Use a secure clinical route

Do not send X-rays, medical histories, identity documents or payment-card details through a general enquiry form.

Patient checklist

Provider and treatment planning

Start with the legal treatment provider and the written clinical plan. A website, directory or coordinator cannot replace those documents.

Who will actually provide my dental treatment in Turkey?

The clinic and clinician named in your final written clinical documents are responsible for treatment. WeCare supports information and Antalya coordination, while MEDgo Tourism is presented as an intermediary for the relevant UK campaign routes. Do not assume that a website name, coordinator, hotel, event host or partner-directory entry is the treatment provider.

How should I verify a dentist and dental clinic before booking?

Ask for the clinician’s full name, professional registration details, the clinic’s exact legal name and facility details. Check the supplied identifiers in the relevant official registers and confirm that the information is current and applies to the proposed location and treatment. A portrait, social-media profile, testimonial or directory listing is not a substitute for registration evidence.

Can the website tell me whether I am suitable for a treatment?

No. Suitability is a clinical decision for the responsible qualified provider after an appropriate assessment and review of the information it requires. Website pages can help you prepare questions and compare the boundaries of different options, but they are not a diagnosis, prescription or personalised recommendation.

What should a personalised treatment plan contain?

The named provider should explain the proposed treatment, stages, material choices, important risks, reasonable alternatives, expected visit schedule, recovery considerations and aftercare route. The plan should be read together with an itemised quotation and consent information. Ask for anything unclear to be explained before paying or arranging non-refundable travel.

Does a treatment plan guarantee a particular result?

No responsible plan can remove clinical uncertainty or guarantee an outcome. Individual anatomy, oral health, healing, maintenance and other factors can affect what is appropriate and how treatment progresses. Ask the provider to explain realistic objectives, material limitations, risks, alternatives and what would happen if the planned course needs to change.

Patient checklist

Prices, quotations and package boundaries

The signed quotation controls the commercial offer. Keep clinical charges, accommodation and transport clearly separated.

What should be shown in a dental treatment quotation?

Look for the named treatment provider, proposed items and quantities, currency, clinical charges, payment stages, deposit terms, cancellation terms and exclusions. Hotel nights, room basis, Antalya transfers, flights and other travel services should be listed separately where they apply. Do not rely on a headline package price when the written scope is incomplete.

Are a hotel and Antalya transfers included with treatment?

Selected five-star accommodation and Antalya airport, hotel and clinic transfers may be included with qualifying packages. The written quotation must confirm the exact hotel allocation, room basis, number of nights and included transfer routes. Named hotels shown on WeCare are examples from the MEDgo source and are not an allocation or availability promise.

Are flights to Turkey included?

Do not assume that flights are included. A flight is included only when a specific published campaign and its written booking terms expressly say so. Ordinary treatment, hotel or transfer information does not create a flight entitlement. Check departure airport, dates, baggage, changes and exclusions before relying on any campaign travel element.

What should I check before paying a deposit?

Confirm who will receive the money, which legal entity provides each service, what the deposit secures, whether it is refundable, the cancellation deadline and how changes are handled. Keep the treatment plan, itemised quotation, payment evidence and written terms. Do not send payment-card details through an ordinary contact form or WhatsApp chat.

Will my insurer reimburse dental treatment in Turkey?

Only your insurer or scheme can confirm coverage. Ask it about overseas or out-of-network care, pre-authorisation, required provider documents, claim deadlines and currency rules before treatment. An invoice or treatment plan may support a claim, but receiving documents does not guarantee reimbursement.

Patient checklist

Travel and scheduling

Build travel around a confirmed provider schedule, not around a generic treatment timeline found online.

How long should I stay in Antalya for dental treatment?

The named provider must set the schedule after reviewing your case. The number of appointments and visits can change with the treatment, laboratory stages, healing and clinical findings. Some care may require more than one trip. Wait for the written schedule before booking fixed travel, and leave room for any review the provider says is necessary.

How do I check visa and entry requirements for Turkey?

Use current official Turkish and home-country government sources for your passport, nationality and travel dates. Entry rules, passport-validity requirements and visa processes can change. A clinic, coordinator or old FAQ should not be treated as the authority for border rules.

When should I book my return flight after treatment?

First obtain the provider’s confirmed appointment sequence and ask when it considers travel appropriate for the proposed care. Choose changeable travel where practical. A generic website timeline cannot account for your procedure, recovery or an appointment that needs to move.

What information should I prepare before travelling?

Prepare your passport and travel documents, the written provider and quotation details, a list of questions, emergency contacts and any information the named provider requests through its secure route. Do not upload medical histories, identity documents, photographs or X-rays into WeCare’s general booking forms.

Can a companion travel with me?

Ask for written confirmation of any companion hotel charge, room basis, transfer seat, clinic-access rule and schedule. A companion’s travel is not automatically included simply because the patient package contains accommodation or transfers.

Patient checklist

Records, recovery and aftercare

Clinical records belong in a secure provider route. Recovery and aftercare instructions must come from the clinician responsible for your care.

Can I send X-rays or medical records through the website or WhatsApp?

Do not send clinical records through a general enquiry form or ordinary WhatsApp route. If a named provider needs X-rays, photographs, medical history or identity information, wait for that provider to explain its secure submission route, purpose, privacy information and retention process.

How should I compare implant, crown or veneer materials?

Ask the responsible clinician why a material or system is proposed for your case, what alternatives exist and what limitations matter. Brand names alone do not establish suitability or authenticity. Where relevant, ask what manufacturer, batch, implant-passport or laboratory documentation the provider will supply after treatment.

What aftercare information should I receive?

Before leaving, ask for written instructions from the treating provider, the named contact for routine questions, warning signs that require urgent attention, planned review dates and the route for care after you return home. Instructions must be personalised by the provider; website guidance cannot replace them.

What should I do if I have a problem after returning home?

Follow the escalation route supplied by the treating provider and keep your treatment records available. If symptoms are urgent or severe, seek appropriate local emergency or dental care rather than waiting for an online reply. Ask before booking who pays for assessment, travel or remedial work under each possible scenario.

How does a dental warranty work?

A warranty exists only to the extent stated by the named provider or manufacturer in writing. Read its duration, covered item, maintenance requirements, exclusions, evidence requirements and remedy. A brand mention or general website statement is not a blanket warranty and should not be treated as a promise of free travel or replacement.

Patient checklist

UK consultations and Antalya coordination

The UK information days are a free planning route. They do not replace treatment-provider assessment or create an obligation to travel.

What happens at a WeCare and MEDgo UK dental information day?

A pre-booked visitor can discuss concerns, provider questions, the UK information route and a possible Antalya journey in person. Attendance, tea, coffee and snacks are free whether or not treatment is later chosen. The meeting is not dental treatment, a diagnosis, a suitability decision or an outcome promise.

Is an X-ray taken at the UK event?

Where an X-ray is needed, it is performed in the UK only through an appropriately licensed provider. The event request form does not collect X-rays or other clinical records. The responsible provider must review relevant information before any personalised treatment plan can be prepared.

Do the partner portraits mean those people will attend the UK event?

No. The published MEDgo partner portraits are name-and-image profile notices. They do not confirm qualifications, registration, clinical scope, availability, UK-event attendance or assignment to a patient. Your written plan must identify the responsible clinic and clinician before treatment is booked.

How do I request a Leeds or Birmingham consultation?

Open the relevant city event page and use its request form or attributed WeCare Group WhatsApp route. A submitted request is not an appointment. Wait for the team to confirm availability, an accepted time and practical arrival details.

Does attending a UK consultation commit me to treatment?

No. Attendance is free and there is no treatment-purchase condition. Use the conversation to gather the provider identity, clinical-plan boundary, written price and travel details you need, then compare the information before deciding whether to proceed.

Still have a general coordination question?

Use the contact page or WhatsApp for general enquiries. If a clinical provider needs records, wait for its named secure route before sending them.
